Installing the Battery and Memory Card
Insert the batteries

1. Open the battery cover (a, b).
2. Insert four AA-size alkaline batteries supplied or separately sold nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, then close the cover.

Slide the memory card slot cover (a) and open it (b). Insert the memory card until it clicks into place, then close the cover (c, d).

To Remove the Memory Card : Use your finger to push the memory card in until you hear a click, then release it.

First Time Settings
Opening the LCD Monitor
Use the LCD monitor to confirm images while shooting them, navigate menus, and play back images. You can position the LCD monitor in the following ways.

1. Opened from left to right 180 degrees.

Warnings Read the warning labels on the case and internal components Microsoft puts those there to indemnify from responsibility because it is in fact dangerous in there. The power supply is exposed, when it is not plugged in it can still hold a significant amount of power, it can shock you, if it is plugged in and you touch it, it WILL shock you. Taking proper precautions it can be perfectly safe. A few things to consider.

Damage to you High voltage electrical shock hazard, touching almost any part of the power supply while it is connected will result in a shock. Even a brief shock at just the right moment/voltage etc can result in messed up heart rhythm and death. Consider wrapping the power cord into a bundle, when the case is open the cord stays under the lid in a bundle. When the lid is on you can un-bundle the cord and plug it in. This may sound like an exaggeration but you need to be very responsible with your actions.

Step one: Understanding basic hydraulics
Hydraulics is defined as the study of fluid behavior, at rest and in motion. Properly designed piping, with sound hydraulics, can greatly reduce maintenance problems over the life of an irrigation system. Controlling the water flow velocity, holding velocity within proper limits, reduces wear on the system components and lengthens service life. Poor hydraulic design results in poor performance of the irrigation system, leading to stressed landscaping material, or even broken pipes and flood damage. Lack of design know-how can also cost the system owner more money because the designer may over-design the system to avoid unknown factors. In addition to wasting money, a poor hydraulic design will often waste water. Hydraulic analysis is important to minimize financial risks, produce efficient designs and eliminate waste.

Chapter 1: Alcohol and Hangovers Make You Smarter?

Inquiring minds want to know all sorts of things, but do you really want to know about hangovers? I mean after all, if you didn’t know what a hangover was, you probably would not have bought this book. Perhaps you enjoy that head throbbing, cottonmouth, and stomach retching, why-didn’t-I-just-die-last-night, kind of feeling when you’ve had waaaay too much to drink. Knowing too much about what is really going on in your head may make you want to sit this weekend out, rather than to go for the gusto.

For those of you who do not remember buying this book last night, let me keep your interest by recalling what is known as the Buffalo Theory. Many people believe this theory applies to drinking. This is amusing food for thought and if you decide not to read anything else and give this book to a friend, you may at least find some solace in your hangover.

Introduction
There are a lot of articles about games. Most of these are about particular aspects of a game like rendering or physics. All engines, however, have a binding structure that ties all aspects of the game together. Usually there is a base class (Object, Actor or Entity are common names) that all objects in the game derive from, but very little is written on the subject. Only very recently a couple of talks on game|tech have briefly touched on the subject [Bloom], [Butcher], [Stelly]. Still, choosing a structure to build your game on is very important. The end user might not “see” the difference between a good and a bad structure, but this choice will affect many aspects of the development process. A good structure will reduce risk and increase the efficiency of the team.
