What is the Weight Watchers benefit?
The Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB) has negotiated with the 2010 medical plan carriers to continue to provide a weight management program at no cost to covered employees. The carriers contracted with Weight Watchers to provide this benefit.
Who is eligible?
No-cost participation applies only to PEBB-covered employees enrolled in a PEBB-sponsored medical plan from Providence Health or Kaiser.
- Dependents are not eligible for the no-cost participation.
- If you opt out of medical coverage, you are not eligible for the no-cost participation, even if you are enrolled in a PEBB-sponsored medical plan through your spouse or domestic partner.
How do I enroll?
FIRST STEP: Select the Weight Watchers program option that is most convenient to your weight-loss efforts and lifestyle. The choice is yours!
- Weight Watchers Local Meetings
You can attend traditional Weight Watchers meetings in your community at the time and location that is most convenient for you. Under this option you will receive vouchers for either a 13-week or 10-week series, depending on where you live. Your vouchers will be mailed directly to your home. - Weight Watchers At Work meetings
At Work meetings bring the Weight Watchers experience right to your workplace where a trained leader facilitates weekly meetings. You may attend a 13-week At Work series. - Weight Watchers Online Subscription
You can participate in Weight Watchers online with interactive tools and resources. It is available in two versions specifically designed for men and women. This option includes a 3-month online subscription.
SECOND STEP: Call your health plan provider to obtain a special access code for enrollment in your chosen program option.
- Providence- In Portland, call 503-574-7500. All other areas, call 800-878-4445.
- Kaiser Permanente- In Portland, call 503-286-6816. All other areas, call 866-301-3866, select option 2.
NOTE: You must provide your health plan provider with your PEBB benefit number to receive the Weight Watchers access code.
